God’s Eternal Purpose

In God’s eternal purpose…

Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels rebelled, but God used this rebellion to create worshippers who will serve Him in love and gratitude. He made man. Man was created as a replacement for the fallen horde. He made this being to relate more closely with Him than any other creature; he was made to be one with the Creator. In God’s eternal purpose He knew that mankind would fall and join this rebellion. When the fall happened He had a plan in order to fulfill His eternal purposes, the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. God in His wisdom so created the laws of the earth that He divinely and creatively made the most powerful display of love to be Calvary. He then gave man this choice whether or not they would submit to Him and humble themselves into the way of salvation. God showed His loving affection while man was rebelling against Him, He died for them. Seeing the gulf that had been bridged through Jesus, now this created being serves God in loving gratitude, and not because it is required of him but because he is in love with his Savior… his Creator. God’s eternal purpose is fulfilled through the creation of a being that will forever worship Him in love. In creating man, God made him in His image, with His emotions… a lover. When man is filled with this love he will not be turned, just like God in His passion pursued man to the depths of hell. God took what was meant for evil and used it for His good, through a rebellion He gained lovers; a bride that He can be one with and indwell. God didn’t make the way of salvation difficult but He made it a way of humility and any that would come to Him must take up their cross and follow Him. 1 Corinthians 13 clearly explains, in plainest words, that love is not about me but about you. Salvation is a way of love. Following Christ is a way of love. Denying yourself is a way of love. Taking up your cross is a way of love. You take up a cross because it is hard for you and proves your affection for your lover, (The wisdom of God). The cross is the greatest demonstration of love, denying yourself. We love Him because He first loved us. Jesus being the paradigm, not asking us to do anything He did not already do. God demonstrated the greatest love through the life and death of the Son.

Christ gave us everything; His heart, His life, His death… He is mine, the question is will I be His. Will I embrace my cross, the way of proving my love.
God’s eternal purpose is all about love.
